I just purchased a 3 button navy blue pinstriped Donald Trump suit and I need to have the pants hemmed. The trousers have no pleats, and I was wondering what will look better, cuff or no cuff? Your opinions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

For a flat front, I go with no cuff, the exception being if it a very lightweight material. In which case, a cuff is simply more functional, since it will help weigh down the legs, and create a wrinkle free look.

Hi guys, any idea where i can purchase something similar, for a lower cost to the shoes below?
The air grant by cole haan is close, but they dont have a good "black" color, their black has elements of grey and brown scattered about.. the car shoe is perfection.

So the front pockets on one of my suits is starting to sag a bit. Is there anything I can do to repair that?

    They are slit pocket.

Anybody know the fit/quality of Jack Spade shirts? There's a few on Gilt that I'm eyeing.

what do you think of these boots? I usually use the suit and what I've heard you can not use these boots with a suit? How do you use them?

They're great, and you absolutely could wear them with a suit.

Need some opinions, and I thought this thread was the best place to go.

"Semi-Formal" dinner party with my wife's company for their holiday party.

Like I said, the invitation says semi-formal (who know what that means, because I dont think it's the traditional definition of black tie vs white tie...)

Anyway, I plan to wear a solid dark navy suit (SB, two button, flat front trousers) with a white french cuff shirt, black captoe shoes, white linen PS in a TV fold.

I have narrowed the tie down to two: a silver/gray brioni with blue dots (the tie does this weird color change thing, sometimes it looks gray with blue dots, sometimes it looks more silver with darker gray dots) or Sam Hober burgundy colored grenadine (garza grossa)

Sorry I have no pics at this time.

    Thoughts?

The way I understand it that would be ok, however a lot of times these days semi formal is more like "business casual". I would rather be over dressed than under though.

    Personally I wouldn't wear Chelsea's with a suit.

Burgundy over white and with the navy should look great. Don't know about grenadines for "semi-formal" :)

I own them in black and wear them with a suit all the time. You could easily wear them with jeans and a sport coat as well.

don't know about the fit, but the quality is sub-par for the retail price.
