1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

They'd be at least a once a week, if not twice a week wear.

Was thinking brownish as I tend toward wearing brown shoes more often these days (with most of my suits blue and gray).

Thanks already for the insights, going to check these out pronto.

I have about 20 pairs of dress shoes, all of which are better than PA's, and only a few more than $300. There are a lot of better options. C&J and Alden for BB, Tellman for Polo, etc.

Does anyone know who makes these shoes and/or where I can find them? I am sorry that the picture isn't very detailed, but I'm hoping that you can tell by the design ...

Try saving your picture on flickr or photobucket, then post it from that location.

In order to get the image to work, you will need to upload it to either flickr or photobucket.

If I could be Spoo on a more conservative day that's be my ideal look.

One of the joys of becoming a theoretical physicist will be that in general everybody is just happy we're wearing pants, much less conservatively dressed. As things stand it is highly likely I will have the opportunity to remain unrestricted in developing my own personal style.

As for a recommendation, I recommend going out, trying alot of things on and seeing what you end up liking. When you find something you like and feels appropriate, buy that.

I thought this was GUCCI - however, the horsebit appears to be narrow...

I can't find this particular design - which I really like. Trust me, I've searched. I am hoping someone on here might be familiar with that particular design.

Tell me what makes this different than any other horsebit loafer, especially the 5,626 different variations that Gucci has produced over the last 20 years at least. Think about that before you answer.

Could be a bunch of makers... Bally comes to mind as well other than the obvious Gucci possibilities
