The cashmere will be of low quality; but if fits your budget constraints, it fits well and you like wearing it then go for it.

I have a few of their sweaters and like them.

Perforated captoe bal is far more formal than loafers. They will work well. I consdier loafers + suit are more of a faux pas, and one should never do (of course, many think it's fine).

I'm guessing they have different fits for the US and EU markets. The ones I have are from the US market and are sized accordingly. I wear 42R suit in US makers and find the Gran Sasso sweaters fit true to size.

For such a festive occasion you'll want something without any brogueing. Brogues are always less formal than the same basic shoe in plain. That you should wear a laced shoe is a matter of course unless maybe patent pumps but since you're not doing the tux that's not what I'd recommend.

What would be very nice and easily reusable later on would be a pair of wholecut Oxfords in black or a very dark blue tone - that depends on your suit colour. Definitely no derby and no casual loafer.

Any blue, red, gray, etc. Pretty much anything but beige or a similar color.

Ebay - is it worth it ?

ATM i do not have an ebay account and was wondering if bargains can still be found (heard of some + and - stories). Are the sellers on ebay trustworthy?
