Hi - Filene's Basements has a number of Oxxford suits (Mason) for $999 less 20%. Is this a good price for this suit? Is this the best quality suit one can hope to find there? Thanks!

Yes, that's a good price. Oxxford is regarded as one of the top 1 or 2 RTW makers. Not everyone loves the cut, but if you do, that's a solid deal.

where should i be looking for a modern cut suit in Vancouver? i haven't needed one for a solid 10 years, mid-range pricing, it has to look good but considering it will only see the light of day 1-2 times a year the cheaper the better

What is a comparable (cut, price point) suit to the BB Madison, but with side vents?

    Hi all,

I am interested in purchasing Ralph Lauren Darlton wingtips. From reading older posts, it seems that RL sometimes runs sales where these shoes sell for 50% off. I am wondering if these are regular sales that happen at a particular time of year, or just more random occurrences? Thanks!

^^ They are held reasonably regularly but I dont believe that the Darltons ever go for 50% off.

Mabitex on B&S, if you can wait for a pair in your size to pop up.

Quick question, where can I buy shoe taps/heel protectors for a good price in Toronto? I am located close to downtown so I can swing by easily. I hope I don't have to resort to eBay to get something as simple as this. Thanks.

Are coats (over/top) suppose to be slightly longer in sleeve than Jacket sleeves? That way when you actually bend your arm it doesn't expose inches of your forearm to the cold weather?

Yes a coat should be longer than a jacket's sleeve. I would claim the reasoning to be more about hiding the jacket/shirt sleeve rather than keeping your arm warm (though this is probably also true)
