There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Send em back (with proof of purchase if you still have) showing the date you got 'em. Should get replacements. I say 'should' cos if you've worn them 5 times in 10years you might not have much luck.

I appreciate the advice and that's exactly what I'm going to do. Looks like I wasn't clear on my description. I wore them 5 times before the stitching came loose the first time and I sent them in for repair. After I got them back I wore them 10 or so times but not in a while, hence the dust. They are less than one year old and I have the original receipt. We'll see how Alden handles it.

[IMG] Whats the style of tying that bill hemmer on fox uses? It looks symmetrical so I'd think not the 4, but not huge like a full windsor. I don't know any other knots besides those two. [IMG]

I have a solid Navy suit and wanted to add a vest to it. Would I try to match the color of the suit or are there other color options that would work? Thanks

    Half-Windsor?

And I shall hold my tongue about Fox News lest I start to rant. [IMG]

would you say a 3" lapel is a good middle ground between a slim lapel and wide lapel?

Hi - I would like to know some measurements for the J.Crew Ludlow Chino Pants in either 30 or 31 waist.

1 - From the crotch straight across to the edge
2 - Just above the knee

If anyone could help I'd appreciate it.

That jacket is similar to a CWU-36 US military flight jacket (the green one in this photo). They are common on ebay and sell anywhere from $50 to $150, maybe a little more for a tan one. Some will have velcro for patches and you probably don't want that. They are available in a desert tan color or green. It is an excellent jacket, and fireproof to boot. [IMG]
I found this Cucinelli jacket and am quite in love with it. Unfortunately, it's not in my size and the price is too high. Does anyone know who might make something similar? [IMG]

What is a good choice of tie with a navy birdseye suit?
Figure I should minimize the texture in the tie

    Thanks

Don't match the color unless the cloth is the same (i.e. same designer, same line). For a navy blue, colors that spring to mind are darker tans and browns. Ehaberdasher used to have a nice selection, though it seems sort of sparse right now.

Brooks also carries them in stores, I believe, but not their website. At least the one near me does.

All mediums are sold out on Orvis. Already checked that - thanks though.

Nice ones are handmade with rolled edge.

With a TV fold, are the rolled edges supposed to be visible (sticking out of the pocket), or pushed down in the pocket?

Tartan vest in Black Watch plaid or Royal Stewart plaid could work: http://www.kilts.com/vests.htm

What is meant when sellers speak of a drop in sit size? For example (I'm making this up) "The suit is a 54 R drop 7".

    Thanks.
