Could some of you weigh in on the fit of these sport coats? They fit well in the shoulders and are an appropriate length, but I worry that there is too much room between my shirt collar and the jacket collar. It lays well in the back of the neck, but there is more room on the sides than on the other jackets I own — almost as if my neck isn’t large enough for the hole. What do you guys think?

1) Both jackets appear to fit well
2) Can you post a pic or two of the other jackets you have that you think fit better?
3) From my eye, it looks like any gap to the sides of the shirt collar have more to do with the style (button down) and size (relatively small) of your shirts and have nothing to do with the fit of the jackets.
4) A larger shirt collar with some roll or an appropriately proportioned spread collar will fill out that space better.

What are some brands/models that seem to fit shorter/wider statures better? I'm 173cm but have been working out so I wear a 42 in chest typically.

I've found Spier (short), Suitsupply Jort (short), tend to fit me well. Any other suggestions for models/brands? I'd like to avoid going MTM (for now).

Two questions:
1. For those who live in Los Angeles, what months in a typical year is one able to get away with wearing a 10 oz Minnis fresco suit? I live in the Mid-Whilshire area of the city, and I'm wanting to know this for 9-5 wear.
2. What sportcoats pair well with medium gray covert trousers as pictured below? I have a pair like these and have been trying to think what goes with them well. I try to avoid the nothern lights effect, but am open to suggestions.

Is there any reason to hang an odd vest/waistcoat on a jacket hanger (i.e., with big shoulders) as opposed to a shirt hanger? I assume the answer is no, since waistcoats don't have the structure that makes the larger hangers important, but I thought I'd check and see what others think. Thanks in advance!

Personal view but those are all sorts of wrong - classic black captoe which to be fair is hard to pull off in this day and age of ‘tailored sweatpants’ but then with a section of high contrast brown hatchgrain leather right at the top.

So yes, at the risk of coming across all StyFo ‘brown is for farmer’ I think those would be very hard to pair; 75% reads pinstripe suit and 25% reads tweed and corduroys.

sorry in advance because following question is not really about classic menswear itself (more like business-casual?), but still I would really appreciate, if you can help me this issue.

What is the colour of attached coat and pea coat?
Surely the quality is not that great to judge, but I really hope, that there is some shade of charcoal (coat) and navy/midnight blue (pea coat), because I really dislike black as a whole.

Does anyone happen to know the difference between Alden 660 and 770 tassel loafers? The 770 is the Brooks Brothers model, but I can't spot a difference between those and the Alden version from photos. I'd really like a pair but don't know which direction to go.

The BB version has the heel 'foxing' [I believe this is the name] which are those stiches which make a heel counter-like shape. I personally really like this detail to give some character to a loafer and prefer my tassels with this detail

Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question.

I bought a new suit, as well as new hangers.

I just noticed that the suit hangs strangely - there's an upsidedown triangle in the shape.

Have I bought something that's strangely tailored, or is the hanger not the right shape?

(The hanger is a broad suit hanger)
