Any other alternatives that are purchasable online?
Anyone know of an inexpensive (preferably <$100) linen sports coat that is purchasable online? There are few stores in my area, so I'd prefer to have the option to order online. Oh, and while I'm at it, total noob question: wtf does 3/2 mean in reference to suits/blazers? Keep seeing this, and still don't know what it means.

    understandable?

Huh thats weird, Brooks Brothers has the Peal suede captoe shoes back in. I just ordered some with next day air shipping, total shipping = 5 bucks. They might be a half size too large, so we'll see. They have an interesting sale on shoes today if anyone is interested.

What are your guys' experiences with the BB pinpoint shirts? I realize they are not made in the USA (unlike the BB oxfords), but I expected the pinpoint fabric to make the purchase worth it for summer-wear. However, my pinpoint oxford from JCrew is so much more softer and comfortable than this BB shirt, and I think the regular BB oxford might be more comfortable. I'm thinking about sending the shirt back and exchanging it for the regular oxford. What do you guys think? Would you exchange it, or am I wrong about the quality here?

    Gents,

Attending my brother's graduation in Dublin in two weeks time and need some suiting advice. Students and staff are strictly black-tie, though guests are not meant to be. What color suit would be most appropriate?

    Midnight blue?

Yeah, that's what I kind of wanted to do. Would pinstripes be a bit much?

    Gents,

What is the correct name for the oversized briefcase/box that barristers/solicitors etc carry to fit quite a few volumes of a file? Sort of a box with handles? thanks

It's called a "lit bag." Lit short for litigator's.

This image is up on the Brooks Brothers Black Fleece site. Does anyone know what shoe this is? [IMG] I cannot find anything similar on their site. I also noticed they have a Navy/White Pebble Grain Longwing Spectator that looks interesting. I know I could not pull it off but it is a really great looking shoe. http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatP...=&sectionsize=
