Seems to fit well on you. I bought an all-silk version from Saks Off Fifth online for the same price, and I like mine.

Would work better with a higher button stance so the bottom buttons were in line with the pockets, but it seems nice enough.

If you planning on wearing with a/that tee shirt..then ok. With a shirt, it will be a different fit.

Does anyone have any advice in relation to where I can get heel/ top taps in UK (or who ships to the UK)? A lot of the places (Amazon/ Ebay don't list sellers that ship to the UK... :/

Hey I am getting married in July and looking for a reliable/fairly cheap option for suits. We are wanting a dark brown wool option. Found a few but reviews are mixed so I am alittle nervous about purchasing from them. Anyone have some suggestions?

OK, but I am talking about a sweater vest.

I can't figure what kind of pants this dude wears. Would dark blue jeans do??

One more thing. Someone wrote that it should be weared under a shirt. Was this a joke? What's the purpose if the others cannot see the vest?

Those pants look like worsted wool suit trousers or slacks to me. As for jeans with a sweater vest,IMO, it can work ,would maybe be better with a different color vest and without a tie. Jeans and tie looks a bit off to me, but it depends on the jeans.

Also,as far as I know, in the UK, the term "vest" can refer to a tank top/A-shirt/wifebeater undershirt like this :

Could I get an opinion about this set? Please, understand my choice. I am very inexperienced in this subject. [IMG]

Would work fine if you're trying to smarten up a casual look. Make sure the tie is of the right fabric(i.e. not that satin/poly looking fabric in the tie you provided) and not too bright, the shirt and sweater are fitted enough, and different shoes(better) with more broguing(punched holes). Maybe a suede full brogue in snuff or chocolate depending on the color of the jeans. Someone else can chime in regarding those derbies.

Centimeters across the chest rather than around the chest, sounds like. Double for standard euro size- 46EU is a 36US, so that fits.

The only thing I can't change is the vest and the shoes, but I would like to know if you think that not changing the colour of the shoes is a good idea this time. I wanted it black but I really like the design and can't find it in black. But this colour is not too far from black so it will do, right?

Actually, I prefer the shoes in brown to leaven the gray.

Thought this would be a good place to start so I don't clutter the board with noob questions. My issue is that of shoe sizes. Let me first say that my experience with quality shoes is next to none. Only what I've learned in these forums in the past few days.

    That being said...

Since I stopped growing (I'm 28 now, pretty sure I'm done) I've always bought shoes in a US 12. Mostly sneakers and running shoes. The dress shoes I have bought in the past were mostly just from outlets, and mass produced junk, and the size 12 seemed to work fine.

I am living in Japan now and just got a digital scan of my foot done which said I am 28.5cm EE. Any 28.5 shoe has never fit me when I look in the mass produced junk dress shoes here. I need a 29.5 or 30. 28.5 looks to be a US 10.5. There is no way I would ever fit into those.

At the department store, I tried on a shoe based on the measurements taken and it fit well! I didn't like the shoe at all (a brand called regal) but it fit! The store clerks were saying the difference in the height of the shoe makes a big difference, and lower profile shoes are usually narrower as well which is why a 28.5 would never fit in that style i.e. Hugo Boss.

My questions are, is what they were explaining to me the last of the shoe? How can I consistently know which shoes have a taller shape so that my shoe will fit? I mean, I just bought a pair online for pretty cheap that was 30cm and it doesn't fit at all, so I don't know what the deal is with sizing. And WHY do i seem to fit into a US 10.5 when I am usually a 12? If anyone can answer my specific issues, or point me to an in-depth sizing tutorial, that would be very much appreciated!

Don't know if the images will help if you don't speak Japanese, but I think you'll get the idea based on the numbers.

You mean what I shared? Because, it's not brown exactly. But I can find it in brown.

He means he prefers brown shoes as opposed to the burgundy ones you originally showed to go better with the grey colors in your outfit. I prefer Burgundy, but that's what he meant.

I have 1 chocolate suede, 1 chili, and no brown shoes as of yet. I REALLY like the Burgundy Carminas I took ownership of 2 months ago.
