Trying a new tailor and want an idea of pricing (I'm in Arizona).

Dropped off a shirt to have the sides taken in and darted. If he's good I'll leave the whole of lot with him. I believe darts are generally $5-10, but having the sides brought in at the seam?

I assume you're asking how much it generally costs to have a shirt brought in at the seams. If so, mid-priced NYC alterations tailors have usually charge me about $15 for that. I have not found alterations to be significantly cheaper elsewhere.

Quick question gentlemen of style forum. My tailor told me that I have a 15 inch neck size but it seems like most shirts I buy off the rack that are labeled with a 15 inch neck fit are to loose. Should I size down to a 14 1/2 or a 14? Thanks in advance.
If your shirts are still too loose after a couple launderings which often shrink the collar a bit, then yes, you should size down.

Anyone hear of Johnston & Murphy Passport line of shoes? What sets them apart from regular J & M? Thanks.

Measure yourself. Put the tape measure around your neck with two fingers of space. See what you end up with.

I recently bought some J. Crew shirts, 1 madras and 1 dress shirt. How much will these shrink in the wash? I find that the small size fits me better in the sleeves, but the medium is my collar size.

    Thanks

For moleskin pants, which brands are affordable and good? I am in Singapore so I'd really prefer if you guys can recommend me something that can get in Asia as well. But heck, I can try ordering online too [IMG] though the fit might be questionable [IMG]

    Bumping another guy's question.

It looks pretty good to me - maybe a tad on the short side, but not too bad. A bit hard to tell without seeing a fuller shot, or from the rear. But overall looks good. I would get the sleeves taken up a bit so that you have some shirt cuff showing. 1/2 inch of cuff is nice, but a little more or less is personal preference. Unbutton the bottom button (and leave it that way.) You'll always look better with the bottom button undone. EZ

alright, i have a few better views of it now...with a shirt and tie...and the bottom button is undone. Tags are still on so that's what the white is there. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

The shoulders are too wide. The jacket's shoulder seam should not extend beyond your shoulder.

yea, that's about where i was concerned about it...and then, when leaving the bottom button undone, it also seems too wide.

Would it be strange to wear a navy polo with cargo shorts and boat shoes?
