Puttind AE trees in Alden Shoes wouldn't be bad for the shoe? Or should I just order Woodlore trees from Amazon?

If I am not mistaken, AE owns Woodlore. The trees are all the same. These are all better quality generic shoe trees, made of cedar. They are made with a left food and right foot. Less expensive trees may be completely generic, fitting either foot. They will work fine in your shoes. Just be sure to get the correct size.

How much can I expect a shirt collar to shrink after its first few washings? I recently ordered several 16"/35" shirts and all the collars measure 16.5" (button to far end of buttonhole). While the 15.5" necks I've owned for a year from the same company measure 15.5"

    Thank You Archivist...

I found a shoes marked John Lobb in cursive writing on both insole and F1790 marking inside part of the tongue and on the sole of the shoe.
The leather seems high quality. My question is are there fake Lobb shoes? I checked on Lobb online site and the John Lobb cursive writing seems same but on the online site shoes
have gold stamp marking on the insoles. Could this be bespoke shoes? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Someone who knows more about the history of Lobb's will have to chime in. Mine are blind stamped, not gold stamped, for what it is worth, but that is the sort of thing to changes over time.
I do not know if Lobb has a 1790 last. F1790 would seem to indicate it is a F fitting on a 1790 last. That's Lobb Paris, Lobb St. James are all bespoke, and I don't own any, never seen them in the flesh.

Colour for an unstructured linen blazer?

This is to be paired with jeans, mostly (indigo blue and black).

I know a navy blue blazer is the classic colour, but it feels like a khaki blazer would be more appropriate in this case?

*** Ideally this should be as versatile as possible, across a full range of colours (not just the jean colours that I currently have)

Yes, AE owns woodlore. See here : http://woodlore.com/about/history.html

The wooden, split toe shoe tree pictured on that page is the thing you're looking for, rwaldron. The woodlore and Alden ones are very similar; I know because I have both. The Alden ones just cost more. Just don't buy plastic ones or ones that are sized too big for your shoe (check sizing charts). If there's no shoe shop or Nordstrom rack near you, then Amazon is a good option.

Go with navy then, there's nothing wrong with that.

But wouldn't the navy one clash with the indigo colour of the jeans? (dark blue on dark blue and all that)

BTW, I've just got measured on the weight scale. I've lost 2 more pounds. I'm 37 lbs. lighter and now 330 lbs. Getting better folks. What do you think of me losing two more pounds this week?
