1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Nailhead has a distinct nailhead pattern, whereas tropical is generally lighter in weight and either has a plain weave, or open weave. Most likely it is just a lightweight plain weave.

And since we're on about Howard Yount - is there a bricks and mortar shop somewhere (NYC?) or is it all online a la Kent Wang?

    another question...

Am looking at purchaseing two 'really good' pairs of shoes - one in a brown wingtip (prefer burnished), and one black captoe (no broging). I have different sized feet - basically wearing 10-10.5 EEE in AEs. I have been doing research, and am looking at the following brands - Church's, EG, DiBianco, G&G, Grenson's, C&J and Cleverley. I know that prices vary widely, and was hoping to spend between 500 to just shy of 1000 USD per pair. Looking at this as an investment [IMG]

How do the different brands fit? I guess I am looking for G widths....I like DiBianco's style and the squarish toe of the Cleverley shoes, as well as the Inverness of EG. So many choices! Any feedback on fit - which one seems wider/narrower, quality vs value, and anything else.

Also heard that there aren't too many stockists in SoCal - leather Soul is one(?), as well as Barney's? Anyway, thanks in advance guys! [IMG]

Leather Soul gets my resounding endorsement. Bryan and Joel are very helpful. Barneys does not stock C&J if that's what you want. I checked earlier this year. They are available online and at the NY store.

In regards to Howard Yount trousers - how much room is there in the waist to let out?

Absolutely perfect. Most guys wear their pants way too long, and they get bunched up and sloppy at the bottom. What you have there is pretty much exactly what you should want, just hitting the top of the shoe and creating a nice, clean line.

great, appreciate you feedback. I do like the way it rests on the front.
I was just concerned about the back part. I'm also thinking about
getting pant leg tapered from knee down.

Blue or grey are your best bets. Also, is that a black suit you are wearing? Not SF approved...

Thanks a lot.[IMG] I have sent them an email telling them what I was looking for. It looks like they have a lot of models available, I hope in my size![IMG]
I am not looking for C&Js in particular, just narrowed it down to those brands I listed. I'll take whatever fits and looks good! [IMG]

Yes, it's a black suit, which means skip the navy. Navy and black don't really play well together.

I would go with charcoal on that one. I wouldn't do black during the day, just too harsh a contrast with the black suit as well. A black knit or grenadine would be great for evening or night though.

    Here's a great question. Who would pay 695$ x 13% tax = 785.35$ for a Jack Victor suit that's "on sale" ? Seems ridiculous.

Is a suit like this appropriate for a business environment?
(Navy blue w/ white PS, ticket pocket and surgeon cuffs)
