That is so wrong. Your length of your feet is 27cm, which is a 42.5 or 43.

Just wondering if an R.M. Williams Rigger boot would be a good choice for someone starting a new wardrobe? I need something suitable for an Aussie autumn/winter that is versatile in terms of outfit combos.

I have a pants question. Would a 34 length pair of pants hemmed to about a 30 length fit the same as an unmodifed 30 length pair of pants? I'm looking for some quality pants and my local retailer only stocks them in 34 length. They offered to hem them for me. I can also order the pants in 30 length overseas. Won't the 34 altered length pair of pants look a little off since the knee area hangs lower?

@ASpec818 It's fine unless it is a faded pair of jeans in which case the fades won't line up.

Anybody ever taken a university level patternmaking class? I only have 20 credits left in my major but just transferred to a new school, so I need another 10 credits for "residency" in order to graduate.
They have a fashion design program and was thinking of going that route since it's the only program at the school that interests me. Pattern making, drapery, textile applications and a CAD class are all 3cr each. I'm more just wondering whether it would actually be interesting and made up of learning and practicing with hands-on experience or if it will be history and theory tedium.

I need a navy blazer or sportcoat. Any recommendations?

J Crew Ludlow 38R fits me off the rack, but I own too much JCrew stuff as it is. My price range is $150-400.

Why not just j crew then if it fits you? It's not like you're wearing stuff that's emblazoned with their logo everywhere?

Check suitsupply as well as PRL, j press, brooks, etc.

I'm looking for something with a slightly wider lapel.

Brooks, J Press, PRL... what other stores would you say are J Crew level, or a slight upgrade?

Their chelsea boots are way more versatile than those. The chelseas look great with everything from jeans, to even some suits if done right. Do you have something against chelsea boots? Just wondering because youre asking about the riggers, and i noticed in another thread about a pair of their casual shoes with moc toe and lugs (IMO they are ugly). When a pair of their craftsman or gardeners are kinda the obvious first pick from RM Williams. I dont think you would regret getting a pair of their chelseas, they are very nice.

    Hey,

I read earlier in this thread that sale codes work on ludlow and other excluded items in the first few hours of a sale.

This still true? I'm thinking of picking up a navy linen suit while its still 30% off. Should I grab it now or wait?

    The ultimate question!
