There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Try Uniqlo. Way better quality. They got a grey zip up thats pretty nice. And terry cloth is better.

thanks for the input. I live in Canada so we don't have uniqlo here. I'm a student so I get 20% at monaco which was why I was considering.

jezec i never been a fan of super pointy toed shoes like that myself but that is my opinion. i'd rather go with something a bit more classic that i would know i wouldn't regret paying x amount of dollars x amount of years later. ie if you already have park and 5 ave you should be set in that department.

    best

Quote:Thanks for your comments. I'm actually looking for something with a sleeker look than the PA/5th Ave. In terms of colors, I have them in black and brown, respectively, but the link I showed you appears to display a walnut-colored shoe, which is something I'm looking to add to my collection. Can you speak specifically on the simpson last or the construction of the Carmina captoe? I guess the more important question is, is it worth the jump in terms of price point. PA/5th Ave can be had for about $240ish via annaul sales, but the Carmina is $300.

Check out Wolf vs Goat (there's a thread here). You'll pay a bit more (assuming tote discount + shipping to Ca, but no tax), but guaranteed the quality will be significantly better. There's currently two out right now, red and grey. There's another one in the works coming soon, pictures in the affiliate thread.

What are respectable brands for henley's. I think they're great for the winter and layer well but I have trouble finding quality/interesting ones. For example, I have a few from JCrew that are often hit or miss and I rather step the quality/craftsmanship if I buy more.

    Thanks

Thinking about getting a Seiko 5 and a brown leather band -- I'm looking for a watch that I can wear around with jeans but will also work for interviews in a suit (I am a lawyer).

    Thoughts?

    Something like this:

    Or this:

I have skinny wrists, so smaller faces and slimmer profiles are +s. If you think neither are good, do you have any other watch recommendations for <$400?

Got some navy Saucony's I like, but they don't go well with blue jeans. Not enough contrast I think.

Looking at a pair of Onitsuka Tigers to fill this gap, and to also use with shorts next spring/summer.

What does the SF think of these two options?

Actually, what about using this face instead (for white):

Or this one (if black): [IMG]

Or silver (still w/ a brown strap): [IMG]

I'm looking for a BLack or Navy wool parka/ fishtail parka (with hood if possible) or a Black or Navy wool mac coat for this winter. Can anyone recommend any brands that would have either of those? Preferably 600 or less, but if it's worth it I would go more. HELP!

But the pricepoint is so vastly different...

I actually like my Tigers, that same model as that bottom one, the Ultimate 81. I'd say just get it in a more approachable/easy to use colorway. Red as the dominant color is too much.

i used to wear tigers, for comfort as in standing/walking for 1hr or more your feet/legs will be in pain. soles on them also wear incredibly fast worse value for the money ever. i'd rather buy the deadstock original gats you can usually get them for $40-$90 depending on used/new just have to be patient with finding your size.

soles are more beefy on them and the foot bed has enough room for a okay insole.

Really? I've been wearing mine at least every other day for months now and I took them on my family trip to NYC this summer, they did fine for full-day walking, I was never in pain. They flex really well and fit snugly, and there aren't any loose threads/tears like you usually see in synthetic shoes (although the Tiger logo is almost entirely worn off- not really a problem). YMMV I guess.

I like the Tigers and am not a fan of GATS. What kind of color would you look for to go with blue jeans?
