And now I find myself wanting to decorate my punk jacket with vintage sterling brooches instead of band buttons... not to mention wanting one of John Varvatos' black pearl bracelets or rosaries... Dammit.

I can't read Japanese. [IMG] I have been patrolling eBay since last year and nothing. Zip. Nada. [IMG] The odds are stacked against me. Most men do not wear brooches, let alone large floral ones. Those who do aren't exactly eBay types. [IMG]

I just want something to break the ennui of my wardrobe.

    Oh, hai guys...

Requesting the names of various liquidy additives people use to spruce-up their clothing. Wax is good, but what else? For instance, I've seen a 'laquered' shirt, and one referred to as 'laminated'. I'm curious what actual, purchasable materials these terms might refer to....

And just any other ideas someone could toss my way.

    Thanks.

P.S. What the hell is metal clay, and what do you do with that? [IMG]

Please forgive my ignorance with Yahoo Japan. I would appreciate a quick tutorial in navigating it. Or if anyone knows of YJ's current relevant auction(s), please kindly link me to them. I'd happily compensate for your effort.

    Many thanks.

I've only used wax and Sno Seal (pretty much the same thing).

Metal clay is moldable like clay until you pop it in the oven and it hardens up. You can make things like copper bracelets and stuff in other metals from it

You should call up Crane's Country Store (see the affiliate thread). They typically will sell you stuff below MSRP if you order over the phone.

    hi guys,

looking for a black boot that has the appearance of a dress shoe (ie Paul Smith Ricard or Frye James Lace-Up). planning to wear it mostly with jeans. Are there any boots that are more reasonably priced and shares a similar look?

    any help would be appreciated.
