1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Beige, pale blue, orange, brown, navy, wine, black - they're a pretty versatile colour

Can anyone in Central London recommend a tailor to do shirt alterations? I want to shorten some gitman vintage shirts I have, but don't trust a dry cleaner service.

Is it possible to find a jacket/coat that is:
    - non baller (<$300)
    - not hooded!!
    - not a leather jacket (preferably not a blazer as well)
    - versatile: can work on jeans as well as shirt/dress pant/oxford
    - short/mid-length

It almost seems like peacoat is my only option. I am okay with a peacoat except for the fact that it drapes like shit when unbuttoned. So any jacket or brand recommendation especially with sales that is going on right now?

Nope, only for mild winter temperature like around 40s to 50s. Kind of like San Francisco, except it's more humid where I live so it feels colder.

You could get some waxed cotton from Filson or even BB. For Filson, look at Crane's Country Store as they sell under MSRP over the phone. BB will have a huge sale starting X-mas day (online) and the 26 (at B&Ms)

Honestly, there are better options. Read around here more for some other ideas.

Want to get some new casual sneakers, was looking for something new to buy kind of like Vans only a little different that not everyone has, the pic was taken in Germany, not sure if they are a German brand.

It's a Spiewak New York Cop Jacket. Was $139 on Gilt today so I picked one up on a lark.

Can you guys recommend good running shoes? Budget around $US100 or lower and preferably in a minimalist style...Was going to buy Asics Kayano but they look damn ugly. I know it's just for running but I am also thinking of using it to travel to europe for a few months as comfortable shoes for general walking and hiking.

Please anyone (my questions always gets ignored)?

Could someone recommend me a casual shoe for bar/club wear that is:

    - brown in color
    - casual enough to be worn with jeans
    - cheap (< $150 ), since they will be stepped on, spilled on, and generally destroyed
    - rubber sole since I'm in the northeast and they'll deal with snow. Also will probably be better in sticky bars

I have a pair of AE Strands in brown, but can't bring myself to wear them to at least 70% of bars that I go to because they would be destroyed.

What type of fit are you looking for? There are a bunch of types that support different types of feet. If you can go into a specialty running they can fit you properly and most shoes are ~$100 or less
