Looks AT LEAST one size too big. Sweatpants probably aren't helping though.

Your left ear looks to be in severe pain...

Thing is, that's a small, and I don't think XS exist. [IMG]

    (I'm 5'8~9", ~125 lbs. / 174 cm, 56.7 kg)

Do you necessarily think it looks bad?

    You are definitely an XS.

Can you return it and look around at different brands? Yeah, it looks pretty massive in my opinion...

Yeah, I still have the receipt and the thing's still tagged. I really like the coat, though. What a shame.

Eh? Isn't it supposed to be a little big, though? Or hang below the waist? How does it fit the surly models in their promotional literature?

To my untrained eye, it just looks like a swell jacket.

Look at his last picture. The sides stick out. The jacket is supposed to hug his body and bag it.

Ah. I ask because the original naval coats were made to be loose, not to hug the evanescent bods of magazine models. (I admit I still find fashion a bit unoriginal and strange).

They can be loose enough to layer a sweater or a jacket underneath. This one looks like you can layer a puffer underneath.

The most valuable lesson I have learned so far after buying countless thousands of $ worth of clothes, is fit is the most important criteria. Don't compromise fit for anything else, including design, materials, construction, brand, etc. no matter how much you like it now or no matter how you try to justify that it's "only a couple inches off". Trust me, you won't end up wearing it, or if you do, you will not have the look you are going for.

Anybody know of any SF approve stores in St. Louis??? I really doubt it though. Seems like style here is based on how many Cardinals shirts you have in the closet.

Other than saks/neiman, I can't think of any. Might want to check the Galleria. Last time I went back home, there were a few good pieces at west county mall nordstrom.

Thanks! I'll definitely check out those places.

What brands are you looking for?

Junya, Vivsm, stuff like that... I don't live anywhere near them and I know they sell out really fast when the new seasons come out. Just trying to get a better understanding of where everyone is getting all this stuff

+1 a size down would probably be a classic fit, you'd need to drop two sizes to get the skinny look.

What jeans have a similar cut to Levi's 511 jeans but aren't stylized like all the new ones they are putting out?

    Thanks!
