Hey, I'm looking for something like a desert boot or chukka, but no Clarks please. Too flimsy. I want something with a little more structure if that makes any sense. I have a pair of work boots for the bad weather, but I'm looking for something a bit more low profile than that for everyday fall/winter wear.

Thanks for the recommendations. Those vanishing elephant shoes are pretty much what I'm looking for, for about $100 less...

    here's a really basic question:

up until recently my wardrobe consisted primarily of poorly fitting graphic tees (the majority of which tended to be black...). i'd like to put all that behind me, so i've been picking up some blank AA tees that actually fit me.

what colors tend to go well with asian complexions? i have typical straight black gravity-defying hair and a light-medium skin tone. i know navy, black/gray/white, and red look good, but i don't have too much that goes well with red and i'd really like to expand my wardobe options

I was hoping someone would know the fabric, which appears quite distinctive in weave, and texture.

I've been wondering...what is this patch called? What is/was the purpose of it? It's one everything nowadays (packs, jackets, hats, etc). Thanks!

I plan on buying Nudie Thin Finn in waist size 25 (smallest that go).
What could I do to prevent them from stretching out to much in the waist?

You cant stop them stretching. They will only stretch as big as they need to in order to accomodate your sitting positions etc. If they didnt stretch they would never be comfortable when you sit.

How do Supra Cuttlers and/or Skytop II's fit relative to chucks?

I wear Chucks in 7, Cuttler in 8 for a snug fit. (8 for Adidas/Lacoste/Generic Surplus, 8.5 in Puma, 40 for italian/CP sole).

Does anyone know of something similar to this for under $300 that won't fall apart?

Just wear a belt, and the jeans won't stretch past what you allow.
