Hi,

Do you have recent experience of Ashwood Leather? Their products are quite cheap at least at Pediwear. But how about the quality? Also do you know where their products are made? I couldn't find any information about it...

Thanks!

A mixed bag (pun alert) from my limited experience. I have a chestnut Hampstead messenger bag which is lovely - looks like ok leather. I think it’s a discontinued model.

But I’ve also had a chestnut Chelsea 8190 briefcase which I’ve returned after limited use. The layout seemed well thought out and the bag robust, with a strap and dust bag. On recept the finish looked a little cheap (somewhat shiny and with a texture), but for the price seemed solid with acceptable quality leather. However within a few weeks the finish/top layer of the leather has come off. Very poor quality. I’m told the defect is rare and am awaiting a replacement. I’ve asked for their congac version to see if the quality of the finish is any better.

Hope this helps.
