anybody try this or drink it?

Frankly, I was really sceptical about it - I have really been convinced that wisky was simply something that the slightly larger places did a lot better than a guy could do in his garage. I didn't think that was the case with white liquors, but with wiskey I was convinced. also, I have tried japanese whiskey and didn't like it, so I thought that buying teh right ingredients and being careful wasn't enough - you needed decades of skills, the right water maybe, what ever.

anyway, I have a friend who has a small distrillary, and he has had me try a few types of artisanal whiskeys that are great. really really good. probrably as nice as any scotch I have had (I am not a big fan of scotch) but also probrably as good as almost any bourbon I have tried. I am actually pretty excited to have this opened up to me, and it was totally unexpected.

here is one brand

I've been on an artisinal whiskey kick lately and have been drinking a lot of it. Tuthilltown (Husdon), Clear Creek (McCarthy's), Charbay and House Spirits have created some of the best products that I've tried so far.
