@bigjus thanks for the heads up. That sounds absolutely awful.
and they were 600 euro !
yeah i know ... got a free pair of the black ones as a replacement for the grey ones - would be truly pissed otherwise !
cant fault the seller ( pretty sure you can guess where i got them but i wont name him ) , he was really great about it , always a pleasure to deal with him .
Good to hear you got a free replacement. Is the black pair better constructed than the grey one?
Great Googly Moogly....
GBS, it's just like, no other suit makes sense anymore...
Well, I don't know much about suiting so this is kind of my starting place. But the connection with the designer and the backstory of all the pieces (let alone his 20+ years in the biz) are enough to keep my buying.
Hotoveli just put up their drop, BTW
And they're already sold out of most of the small sizes... I guess there's demand for GBS stuff where the merchant has the ability to put it online.
GBS has a very dedicated group of collectors as well due to the very limited releases of his work, i.e. 3 pairs of these particular pants etc.
if any of you guys are into the GBS flow, I'd point you to this gent http://aredaugust.bigcartel.com/
very nice, small run, hand made garments, beautiful styling.
Oh yeah appreciated. I just mean i feel like in the past I could walk into Hotoveli a couple months after a shipment and they still have a bunch of stuff around. That said, this release they seemed to have made a much bigger deal of. Maybe it's becoming more popular.
He's definitely gaining more traction, but also the online showing is a huge boost to that, without it, it's likely they'd still be there in store for a bit longer, but you probably already know his work never sits for that long
All the hoods in the pictures make me feel like I'm looking at hangings.
Yes, definitely a gothic romance to his work, I love it personally.
Great stuff... That poorboy fencing coat is killer
