I tried on an Isabelle S. jacket yesterday and it felt like wearing a woven basket. Not an fan of the fit or fabric. Leather bags are really nice, though, and that leather jacket looks nice

Wouldn't the chemicals be too damaging on the fabrics?

never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EV-ER, dry-clean.

    absolutely ruins fabrics.

just a gentle hand wash with gentle detergent will do.

roll in towel, lay flat to dry, etc.

I've never had a problem taking my delicate clothes to dry cleaners. Mine has a "delicate" service, which hasn't destroyed anything so far

hrmm, well you DO live in the land of quality workmanship.

never had a positive experience with any dry cleaner in vancouver / victoria / montreal / london, but yeah, just in my experience i s'ppose. :/

^^sadly true - have been searching for a dry cleaner in montreal with a 'delicate' dry clean option without success.
How do you maintain your blazers ( PH wool/linen for example)?

I handwash PH blazers with mild wool detergent, wrap in towel, dry like Calculus described earlier

good to know, maybe i'll brave hand washing my short mac one day.

so far haven't needed to wash it [~2 years going strong!]

but, it's not like i exactly jog in it or anything [or eat baby food with my hands]

I've got a double layer Lost and Found sweater that I love. However, I have an inescapable habit of pulling the sleeves up, and now they're baggy as shit. Tag says dry clean only, but I really just want it to shrink back up - it's not particularly dirty.

    What do I do?

    Thanks for the info!

I'm between 46 and 48 normally in pants (the waist of my pants normally measures around 41cm) and am torn on figuring out if a 48 would work for me or 46 would be better for sail hemp 5 pocket pants. From the measurements I've seen, 5 pocket pants seem to be a bit loose in the waist, especially if the hemp fabric stretches. Any suggestions/recommonedations from those who own or are knowledgeable about these pants are much appreciated.
