I need a new suit relatively soon and Ebay isn't turning up anything decent in a 38R.  Most of my suits are BB super 110's with two Belvest suits.  Tommarow I am heading to a Saks off fith to hopefully pick up another suit.  I always seen a decent amount of Arnold Brant suits at saks and was wondering what is a decent price to pay.  How do they compare to my other suits, i'm guessing they are similar to my BB because i understand they are 3/4 canvas?  Anyhow i'm looking to spend $600 or less and was wondering if they would be worth wild or if there is anything else i should check out.  Right now i'm thinking Arnold Brant, Flusser or Missoni because they usually have a good selection of all three.  Thoughts would be appreciated.

Edit: What are peoples thoughts on Taliauomo?

Unless you need it right away, wait for Saks' '$100 off suit sale."

They just had one in my area, and it might still be going on.

I can't recall the price exactly, but am pretty sure it was under $300.

Saks does not artificially inflate the price of the suits before the sale, so the regular price you see will one day be $100 off if you are patient (or if you bet the floor manager to give you the sale price).

Sport coats $50 off.

Quality seemed excellent for the price.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
