1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Are you stylish for the sake of yourself, or for others?

Would you still be stylish even if no one else cared?

Or are you just stylish because it helps you to get more money and women and all the good things in life?

What is your motivation for being stylish?

i am stylish for one reason: confidence.

because of this newly found confidence, i have the ability to rush into the boardroom, slam my fist on the table, pronounce my ambitions and leave before anyone notices or asks "who was that guy?"

Isn't being stylish for the sake of yourself akin to masturbation?

Questions like this crack me up.

You should have an option of "I think I am stylish but in fact dont know Sh!t about style and dress accordingly".

Guaranteed to garnish the bulk of the votes.

EDIT: Like this. Both the look and the Gleeful Exclamation of Perfect!

For a long time I didn't care at all what I looked like, I would tell myself that it was more important that people liked me for deeper reasons.

Now I think i've realized that caring about your appearance to an extent, or just trying to dress well/be stylish in general isn't necessarily a materialistic or shallow desire. Certainly part of the reason I want to start dressing better is to attract attention from others (mostly opposite sex), but part of the reason is so that when I look in the mirror I can say "Damn, you look good" and feel more confident.

I def wouldn't consider myself remotely stylish, I just have a desire to not look like a college kid anymore...where's that option?

I started to be elegant at a very early age because I was suffering from low self-esteem and a bit of class schizophrenia.

I wanted to project an image of a well-to-do middle-class young man because I wanted to belong to that social tribe.

I was wearing very classic garnments , JM WESTON loafers, corduroy trousers with Faconnable jackets, when my friends were in jeans because I had a massive chip on my shoulder.

Later , I just discovered that clothing was my passion and I don't really want to belong to anything .
I just enjoy my clothes ..

Most people could care less about how you look. As long as you're halfway presentable (read: wearing pants) people won't even notice.

I mostly dress for myself, but it gets a little complicated. When I dress for others, it is to feed my narcissism, so it is kinda like dressing for myself.

for myself; its the neverending pursuit of finding pieces of perfectionism which does it. even if i don't find stuff for me, i will let friends know what I think will do them good. they love it. living in london, its a great place to shop and the continent is only 2hrs away on eurostar and beyond. everyone who doesn't know me thinks i work in the Arts or fashion.

If you've seen how I dress, you'll know it ain't to appeal to others.
