    It's always hard to relatavize things like this. To be realistic, they say that the average couple will need to have saved at least $1 million to lead an average lifestyle in retirement, which means that there should be a lot of millionaires. If we're talking about a person that has so much money that they don't have to worry about anything, I don't think this is the point of amassing wealth. In the end, it's more about the game and dollars tend to be a vulgar way to keep score.

    Nah, FU money is enough that you have options and can walk away from any job or investment. It is enough that no one will have you by the "heuvos" anymore. That amount is different for everyone, but a few mill and a fully paid for house should do it for most.
