Are velvet blazers only worn by gays?

i found a pretty nice brown velvet blazer at h&m recently and several of my friends have since told me that only gays wear them. is this true? my friends may be way off base here since they're more of the fratty/jcrew mold but i'm unsure about it.

also, can anyone give me suggestions on where to buy reasonably-priced, slim-fitting non-velvet sportcoats to pair with jeans?

thank you

Your friends don't sound like the kind of people you should be taking fashion advice from.

Your friends are like some of mine. Everything that seem slim fitting to them is considered gay. Hell they told me my nudie SJ looks ****** and plain. Again they like the logo infected AX stuff so what could I say, just ******* and wear whatever you like.

Dude, even by thinking about a velvet blazer you have made yourself fabulously and irreversibly gay gay gay for all eternity; in fact, some of your friends are now probably gay simply by contact. Just accept it; be proud, loud and truly divine, and start working on that Judy Garland collection.

Oh, and drop ratboycom a PM - I think he's pickin' up what you're puttin' down...
