You are confusing unstructured with unlined. Unstructured coats can be lined and vice versa. Unstructured coats will generally be less expensive than structured coats (of a comparative quality level) because there's no canvassing/fusing involved. FWIW, the tailor I use doesn't charge extra for unlined either.

Unstructured jackets are softer and more yersatile to wear on most days of the year.
