those are the goodyear classic models that are the same designs for their euro FAM models.
they are very good shoes. and very comparable to Lobb, vass , or Eg.
differences are in taste and fitting.

ive seen the fritz and florence in the goodyear models and although very substantial, there is the lack of antiquing that is common in the FAM version of them. also the bentivegna welting is used in the FAM versions.

Perhaps I was mistaken about the price, but I thought I saw a few of the FAM shoes in Nordstrom in Chicago for around the same prices (under $1000). That makes these prices seem high for the goodyear welt models.

Incidentally, the salesman told me they had brought in the santoni line b/c they were having trouble selling their Testoni black label. I didn't try on the Santoni, but it seems like quite an upgrade based on the ones I looked at.
