Are These Shoes Something Special?

First of all, hello! I am a fan of the forum and am very new to being fashion conscious. In fact, I am coming from a pretty bad place stylistically speaking, but I am making an effort and that counts for something, right?

I have had good luck thrifting and hunting ebay for new wardrobe items. Yesterday I ran across these shoes at the thrift store. Inspection revealed them to be marked Hand-Made with an unidentified logo. The insoles have been removed, and I can see no other marking. Other than that, they appear to be brand new.

Does anyone recognize the shoes or the logo?
