Late last night I shelled out 180 for these boots:

I'm sure many of you will find them a bit over-the-top and difficult to match with other things. I'm not sure where I can find a blue, glossy belt, perhaps pocket squares will be my savior here. The sheer monotony of nearly identical Chelsea boots forced me to do this. They will be returned, however, if they don't fit and/or are repulsive.

Shoes are like ethics- if you have to ask, you know you have done the wrong thing.

Thanks for the feedback..I'm, by no means, saying they are perfect, but I would faster take them and save over a hundred dollars...then invest in Allen Edmonds well-constructed boringnesss

As DrCool said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I find most AE shoes too "old mannish" although I do like a few of them e.g. Evanston.

However, ignoring any possible construction issues, I find those shoes horrendously ugly. All that matters is that you enjoy them though as it's your money and you're the one who will be wearing them.
