Are these MacAlister's too informal for trousers in the work place

    i dont work in finance or anything and don't hav to interact with clients. can these be worn with bowery pants or would the ones below look better

    The toe shape, the finishing and the crepe soles combine to make the suede chukka very casual.

    My own preference for a work chukka would run toward something with a leather or Dainite sole like this:

    Out of the two you've chosen here, I'd go with option 2 for casual office wear.

    The big issue is the crêpe sole. Generally, you want a more structured shoe for work.
