I'm thinking about picking up these canali sport coats off ebay. But I can't tell whether the lapels look a little too big or dated, or if its just the angle/because the lapels look pressed. I thought I'd put it to anyone with more ebay experience than I. Auctions ending soon so I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

If you have really long hair, you can wear it down, half in front and half in back. The hair will cover the lapels and the low gorge.

Not many people will notice that the jackets are dated-looking but, unfortunately, you will probably be one of them.

Appears to the mid 90's Canali. Big lapel (at least compared to the fashionable 3" of today), also very well padded shoulders. (look at picture of the second jacket)

Be careful about the big shoulder pads, they are difficult, if not impossible, to remove if you don't like it.

I was thinking the second one looks pretty dated. The first, however looks normal to me. Am i right?

They look pretty big to me based on what is in fashion now, but to each his own. If you like it go for it. Just wear with thicker ties.
