So I was browsing through one of the large discount outlets and came across the following:

Oxxford blazer - $772
Isaia blazer - $1,100 & change (had a red lining)
Isaia blazer - $~875 (purple lining)
Kiton suit - $2,275.

I've only read about these brands here and finally had a chance to find one and try them on. Boy did they fit nice.

So, were these decent prices or could these be had for less?

It all depends on what the suit is cut like and what it is made of. I've seen a Kiton suit for a price of $9500 selling for $2500. It was a great buy but not my size.

But I'd generally have to agree with the guys above. I would pick up one item you like the most and keep searching for more deals. You will find them.

Interesting; I would have expected you to be more supportive of the US economy after you said the following:

Such cowboy operations are also terrible for the US economy, and take US retail jobs away and give Chinese firms internet profits at our expense.

^^^thats harsh...seems like you had that loaded in your gun ready for the right time!

I do think you can get those prices down...but again, it depends on original retail on the suit. Re: the blazers, if they are fairly standard its rare to see them discounted...unless there are flaws.

It all depends on colour, fabric, style etc. Suits in strange colours or shapes could be cheaper or more expensive. It all depends on demand.

You may be able to find them for less, depending on how patient you're willing to be.

Well spotted. I am always surprised to see people from the 'developed' world complaining that the 'less developed' world is taking jobs away from them. I am not even sure where to start arguing against that. To be fair: Gianni explained his views on another thread in more detail. While I don't necessarily agree with his views, he articulates it gracefully.
