Are these AE belts genuine?

The belt listed as an AE "basic dress" that this guy is selling doesn't have edge stitching and doesn't taper at the end. This makes it different than the AE basic dress belts I've bought through reputable sellers here. The price is also too good to be true.

Has anyone seen genuine AE belts that look like these? Is this AE's new quality?

No experience with AE belts but I didn't think that AE was such a recognizable/upmarket brand that people would want to make fakes.

The link is not working for me.
Also, you should put this in MC instead of the B&S.

Could be bogus but I don't know if counterfeit shell cordovan Allen Edmonds belts is the market I'd go after.

I jumped the gun, the belt I looked at didn't look like any AE belt I've ever seen, but after looking at the rest of them they are almost certainly genuine. I think, as indicated by the OP, his model names are wrong though.

The thing that gives me pause is the statement that they're made from a single piece. There's been much discussion about this here. Any belt made from a single piece is not shell cordovan. It may be horesehide, but two pieces of shell come from the top of a horse's ass and are medium sized and not usually the 40" or so that would be needed to make a single piece belt. Any shell cordovan belt I've seen has been joined.

one thing that stands out to me is his price point is less than 50% retail, and he has more than 10 available for each one

unless he's a former store owner / liquidated a store that happened to own THAT MANY AE belts, i'd stay away.

It's more a question about buying and selling than it is a question about men's clothing.

I think this perfectly appropriate for B+S. It is a discussion about a particular item for sale that obviously interests several members of the forum. I come here to buy and sell, but also to do due diligence about products that interest me.
