Are there any Indian Shoemakers making goodyear-welted Shoes ?

Dear all,

I live in India and I am a great admirer and lover of well crafted and designed shoes.

As far as I know, no one in India is making proper Full-Grain leather, Goodyear-Welted shoes.

I love a proper shoe and somehow have collected a few over the years. The problem is that if you want to let's say order a shoe from there countries, the import costs in india are a bit high. Due to which the shoes end up costing a lot more.

For example, An AE shoe Costing $322.92 on sale would cost me $511.60.

So, what do Ido ?

Indonesia is closer than the USA, but I don't know about import duties:

Th duties are the same irrespective of the country.

There is definitely production of Goodyear-welted shoes in India (for example by Loake). I don't know which of these factories produce shoes for retail sale in India, unfortunately. I do know that Luxire (a StyleForum affiliate) offers custom Goodyear-welted shoes. I have no direct experience with their shoes but you could consider contacting them.
