They haven't been washed yet.

I'd say that they look a bit short, considering that as soon as you move your arm they'll pull shorter. Generally about an inch or just less of extra length is good, also to account for shrinkage.
I think it's just inconsistent with the overly large arms and body (a bit) with short sleeves and narrow cuffs.
PS - you can always move the buttons over to have the cuffs slimmer

yes, too short.

i prefer have sleeves long enough to cover half of my palm when unbuttoned so they can rest at the edge/end of my thumb when buttoned.

I'm not convinced they're too short now, but they will be after your first couple of washings.

Yes, I'd say so, esp. given the posture you're in in the photo (I think your arms are bent slightly?).

Not by much. But yes, too short. But see what it's like after wearing & washing and adjust the sleeve length accordingly in future orders.

If his shirt were unshrinkable, would the current length be spot on?

Posture/photo angle complicates the answer, but I'd estimate that if he stood up straight and the photo was dead on centred, the sleeves are about 3/8" too short in your scenario.

Yes, too short. They also look too full, and the cuffs look big too. It looks also perhaps like you just got a shipment of a whole bunch of these... in the background?
