Okay. So Edward Greens are "just shoes." Aston Martins are "just cars." Panerais are "just watches."

You'd compare jeans to an Aston Martin? Houston, we've got a problem.

I know. Not exactly. Still... we're comparing things that are quite unalike. I'm just saying that while there is a vast difference in jean quality, it's really a stretch to compare the difference between, say, a Ford and an Aston Martin.

Sorry, but a jean is still a jean, in my book.

I think it is an excellent point, especially on a style forum. It is like saying "it is just cloth!" knowing that not all cloth is of equal value. If you think all cloth is of equal value I implore you to go down to you closest financial institution and withdraw all of your savings in paper currency and I will trade you an equal weight of denim for it.

And there are some nice Fords.

Jeans are just jeans, yes of course sir. Right you are. Shall I wrap up the first pair for you, then, sir?

I've overstated my case. Sorry. But I don't take back my +1 for samurai.

Ha ha! No, that's okay. I'll go with the second pair. If you can tell me why the model is taking a whiz on that sheet of plastic?

At the same time...

If the dude in the top picture pulled up and stepped from an Aston Martin, and the dude in the bottom picture pulled up and stepped out of a Neon, which would make the better impression?

I will ponder this for some time.

It looks like the OP admitted to a textbook case of trolling; that is, intentionally posting something just to provoke responses without content. Should he be banned, perhaps?

YES! Ban him. He's caused me a lot of embarrassment. Whodini, for one, thinks I completely miss the point. Aaaghh...
