Are jackets with hoods in/ok?

I've seen a lot jackets in stores recently with hoods. I'm not talking dressy, but casual fall/winter jackets with hoods. And I"m not talking about parkas.

I'd prefer one without a hood, but the ones I've seen have been ok.

I don't care for that look but if you like the it just get it, keeping up with trends is tiresome and pointless to me. These days I buy whatever I like, besides I don't read fashion magazines or anything of that nature. I buy clothes that accentuate my physique and persona and thankfully I'm blessed with a figure that compliments the styles I already like.
