Go by the label. I machine wash and air dry my chino lino's and other Incotex khaki's and have had no shrinkage issues. I have two less casual cotton Incotex that are dry clean only.

Unless the cotton or linen pants have any delicate parts, weaves, or stitching, I would just do a gentle hand wash which is simple to do.

I have hand washed several items that are dry clean only and they turn out just fine. Including some wool items like sweaters and some simple unlined pants. Not coats though.

I find it is very difficult to find a dry cleaner that will not use harsh chemicals that eradicates some of the lanolin in the wools and turn them a bit brittle after dry clean.

There is supposed to be a store in Sydney that sells Incotex but I bought most of mine in last years frenzy from Chorse and others. Back when our dollar was strong...
