Are Country Attire wax jackets good?

Hello guys,

I was searching through countryattire website and I found their own brand jackets with a 90% off. I guess they discontinued the production, and they want to retire the last units.

I've seen these two:

I don't own a waxed jacket and I'm thinking that at this price, if the product is any good, it can be a starting point. Can someone share their feedback on this brand and, even better, real pictures?

Thanks in advance

Man, I have no idea, but I’d stay away. Scroll down and you’ll see they offer a woman’s long jacket price at $121 marked up from $110.

If You want waxed cotton, just pony up and get a decent brand like Barbour or Filson.

Yeah, if something as long-term as outerwear is selling for 90% off that should be a clue as to the quality of the item. I think if it were brick and mortar and you could inspect/try on it would be different (i.e. if it fit and there were no cosmetic issues, $32 is a low risk proposition)

I have a Country Attire waxed jacket. Bought it about 5 years ago and haven’t worn it much. It’s well-made of good materials. The fit was quite bulky, for roundish people; I had it taken in. Th.e arms are short.

By brick and mortar do you mean a physical store? Sorry, I'm not native, never heard that.
A respectable member of a Spanish style forum share pictures and feelings of one of those jackets. But it is only one opinion, and even though he is a jacket enthusiast, so I would like to verify his opinion.

I trust the website, but I don't know how their house brand products are, except from one guy opinion

Yes Brick and mortar means a physical store where you could see/feel the jacket.

Is it like the ones I posted? Do you have some pictures? Thanks

Hi,
Mine is a different model, not biker-inspired. The materials look to be the same and are good. They say this model is cut slim - and they only have sizes 32 and 34 remaining. If one of those is your size, go for it - it’s a good looking coat and a steal.

Looking at the size chart, 34 is about half an inch smaller than a couple of jackets I have that fit me well. I'll give it a try
