That seller is full of shi'ite

Original retail tag for these said $1800 not $2200 as he claims.
I wanted to buy them back when they just hit FB before those ebay flippers cleaned the good product out

Sorry to say, but these shoos run narrow on top being stiff in the worst SM tradition.
New Borrelli stock is produced by Alexander, btw.
Fair bit better than Peluso stuff.

I just got my Borrelli wingtips from Gilt. They are the wrong size, Gilt is using EU size. GRRRR

Did the description mention this? I definitely don't remember the listing stating so. As far as the quality, the sole is exactly the same as above, if experts can't tell what brand it is from those pics, I can't either. The quality looks better than Santoni mainline but I am not familiar with Sutor/Santoni/Testoni enough to know which it could be. The insole is half or 2/3 length.

if anybody bought 10 1/2's of the Borrelli split toe from Gilt, I'll take them off your hands (same ones as Balthazar got)

I have 11 1/2's I have to return because they are a size too big if anybody wants them

PM me

Crap, I didn't get time to try mine on before I left on business. So are you saying if I got 11D, that's the UK size? Hope I have time to return mine when I get back.

And Christofuh, who's Alexander? Do you recognize these as being made by them?

The ones I received from them earlier in the year looked like a Santoni make.

I also bought the split toes in 9d and yes they run a size big. The actual description said fit true to size. Guess what they don't. So yes in addition to my other thread was not happy about this. They said they would not refund because they did not hear any other complaints about size.

Yeah I am going to contact them as well.

The unfortunate thing is they are even nicer than I thought they would be. The sole is really substantial and looks well made. The heel is slightly higher than standard, probably a few mm. I would definitely have kept them if they were sized correctly.

I just sent back my 11 1/2's split toe Borrelli's today to Gilt and would be willing to buy a 10 1/2 from anyone who bought them and found the same sizing problem

also sent their Customer Service an email alerting them to the problem

Okay, finally tried them on and sadly, they are too big. I'll be sending them back tomorrow unless someone wants them. Split-toes, size 11. That is marked size 11, but actually seem to be 11 1/2 - 12.

Anyone get any traction with customer service on this issue? I sent an email to customer service as well and got a rather dismissive note back saying I would get store credit as usual.
