It is a medium. Don't know why I did not include that information hahaha
Just ordered a medium monitor in black and a nomin pack. Super stoked for both!
I really want the nomin pack but I'm not sure if I can justify a 600 dollar nylon back pack
Yeah- having handled a lot of veilance stuff lately the regular price on a lot of the stuff is tough to justify.
Unfortunately it won't be getting better .. the price goes up from $660 to $725 (CAD) in FW16
Veilance must be tied to Vancouver real estate.
Anyone knows where to kop the Monitor in olive? Everything I see is black.
They haven't made an olive monitor in several years, although it looks as though there will be more earth tones next FW. Not sure if there will be an uninsulated monitor though.
the color is odessa I think, haven't seen it in a while.
What is your definition of handled, when it comes to the high end of the market in terms of techwear? Do you mean simply looking at it and giving it a feel with your hands? or do you actually give it a good amount of testing? Techwear is performance wear and you really can't just look at it in store to make a final judgement.
I have the Veilance seque tote that I bought at full retail. I've been using it everyday over a year now, same fabric composition as the backpack. As far as performance goes, easily the most lightweight, yet strong and waterproof bag I've ever had. Incredibly spacious as well, so I can only imagine that the backpack holds even more than what the average person will probably carry day to day on their commute.
Veilance is by default, going to be expensive. You're buying what is essentially designer high end civilian oriented products with serious hiking materials and construction used. Relatively speaking, I think they're quite well priced as far as high end clothing brands are concerned. If the 600 dollar price tag is out of your range, or any of their products for that matter, search through their stockist and see if they have it. It's worth mentioning that Veilance does go on sale, so who knows, maybe you'll find one with a discount.
Link? Would love to get a peak at new stuff.
Pop by your local Bird store. If you ask nicely, they may let you have a glimpse at the new stuff.
I ended up tracking down a large Wolfram Thereme on ebay. The color is really nice, in sunlight it is definitely more brown than green. Unfortunately the large is too big for me, 6' 185lb and 42" chest. Picked up a large black Camosun from Caligari here and the fit is perfect. Both the Camosun and Therme are fantastic jackets, I would have been happy with either!
My Wolfram Therme is up for grabs in the classifieds here..
@Mulan This is the best I can find/publicize
