I'm the same height and wear a field in small. It's a bit tight but length is perfect.
Therme sold STILL have the Monitor Down guys. Steal it from me.
Probably a little late but I'll jump in and recommend the Camosun. A gentleman at the bird store told me Conroy designs a lot of the 24 pieces. The Camo retains similar styling and lengths to the Node, though a little longer. It also features the spiral sleeves and slim fit. The logo isn't that recognizable.
I'm considering tracking down a Therme parka, looks like most of what is popping up out there is the Wolfram color (olive).
Any thoughts on this color vs black? One can never go wrong with a simple black jacket, but without seeing a the Wolfram in person it's hard to know if it will look just as good or if it will come off as a big military surplus jacket while worn.
@Caligari wanna jump in? I've only seen the black and grey
I like that olive shade a lot - at least as shown in that image. Have you found a good deal somewhere that has any size Small in stock? (Preferably in Canadian currency.)
I'm usually a Medium/Large (40R/41R). I ordered a black Medium Therme last week and tried it on yesterday; it was huge even with layers underneath. I would definitely want a Small . I'm planning to put the Black Medium back in the mail tomorrow.
I just sold my medium Wolfram Therme due to the sizing issue that Notreknip mentioned. I'd say that wolfram is more on the brown end of the olive spectrum.
SS16 Veilance up on Haven, Eastdane and Porter
The camo is lovely. I've tried on both the therme and camo and chose the camo. I'm 5"10 and around 175 lb with broad shoulders. I wanted to wear the small but the shoulders were too tight. The medium in navy is *almost* perfect but a bit loose. I was told the slight looseness helps with thermal insulation—a too tight fit will compress the insulation and defeat its warming properties. I like it quite a lot overall, though the hood is a bit big (could accommodate a helmet), but it is detachable. Quite a great piece.
Altitude-sports has some nice deals on arc, including one or two veilance pieces atm. Mostly large and extra-large.
Is the Arris Jacket in the buy for this season?
Is this still available? Will buy it asap if so.
I have a like new Veilance Actuator Jacket that I'd like to trade or sell. It's an aluminum gray color. Perfect fall/spring jacket, super light and comfortable. Honestly the color just doesn't look good on me. I'd trade for an identical jacket in black if possible. Interested in any deals, really. It's been worn less than 5 times. Retails for $600.
