Aquascutum Suits Made in Canada

Does anyone know anything about the quality of Canadian made Aquascutum suits? I was outbid at the last second on this suit and I was wondering whether I got lucky or I missed out. Some searching points to their suits being made in the UK or US but I can not find out anything about their Canadian models.

Thanks!

Their N. American headquarters are in Canada, so I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of their suits sold in N. America are made in Canada and not the US.

FWIW....I know they had offices and a coat factory in Montreal. They contracted with several Canadian makers over the years, but I was under impression that when the company was sold to the Japanese, the factory (and offices) were closed and their New York sales office became the North American headquarters.

A few years back, during a round of budget trimming, they closed the Montreal shop and pulled back to the UK.

I would guess that suit is several years old and was more than likely jobbed out to one of the many suit shops in Montreal at the time ( a few have closed or moved off shore since).

To the best of my knowledge, there is only a small sales office in Canada at the moment.
The old Aquascutum building has been sub divided and turned into small commercial lofts housing mostly printers and graphic designers etc.

Yes,
St. Joseph and Molson near Molson Park.
I popped in about 2 years ago to look into a 100 percent cotton coat for a member in NYC only to find them long gone but still listed at the address in the phone directory.
A bit of research turned up a newspaper article announcing the cut backs and closing of the Canadian operations.
