I got this suit for a song in the sales, and I realise it doesn't fit perfectly but it was ok in the shoulders which is pretty unusual for me as I am so damn skinny, I can often find odd jackets that are fine, but almost never suits, which is wierd. It was the only suit I could find/afford that nearly fitter and didn't have blinging pin striping etc.

I will be taking it for alterations, and to get the trousers finished, any recommendations?

Please excuse the shirt and the ****** pictures, best I could manage at the moment

It's difficult to tell anything about the colour/fabric due to the photos, but it looks rather big on you. You sure you didn't take a size too large because of the discount ? The jacket is very short for a suit with such a full cut. In my mind, a short jacket goes best with a slim/trim cut ( and this includes the trousers).

I took the smallest size commonly available - 36 it fits all right in the shoulders, the fit in the body leaves a bit to be desired, hence the request for comments/suggestions, I will be taking it back to the shop for alterations, but I don't even really know what to ask for.
I haven't bought a suit since sixth form at school, that one fit fine but five years on is looking a little less than spectacular. This is for interviews etc. and this was the best fitting suit I could find that didn't have ridiculous lapels, hideous fabric etc.

Yeah, hard to see in the pictures, for that I apologise, the camera is rubbish.

I don't think it looks too bad on you, but I think the main problem with your photos is the angle. It's difficult to judge the length etc.

It's hard to tell but it looks a bit big in the shoulders as there's a sag on the left hand side. Aquascutum tends to size generously. I was a lovely one in the Swindon Outlet recently but couldn't convince myself that a 36" in the style I liked was brilliant in the shoulder, although a blazer there was cut quite trim and did look good in the shoulder. Like you, I'm just too skinny. If it's a trim 36" it'll be okay, a roomy 36" and it won't.
