As I mentioned on a previous post, I am looking to buy new dress shoes and have decided to start checking local thrift stores (mainly Goodwill) for used ones. That being said, I need to decide what style of shoes will fit best with my everyday office dress (business casual). Typically I wear either a pair of tan or grey khakis (like Dockers or Haggar). In summer I normally wear a polo shirt and in winter I either wear a dress shirt or a sweater over a white dress shirt. Fridays are casual so I substitute jeans for the khakis (same shirts/sweaters as other days.....often wear a pair of brown doc martin boots with this) That being said, what would be a good pair or two of shoes to be looking for? Would wingtips similar to these be too dressy for Khakis (and maybe jeans)?

I think they're just fine for your needs. I'd also look for some light brown derby shoes; they go well with what you said.

I'd prefer plain toe bluchers (derbys) to wing-tips
which too me are bit dressy for khakis, let alone
jeans.
