Hello,guys.
I am going to have an internship in an investment bank in several days in Hongkong and I only have two days to pick up a ready-to-wear suit . The image I would like to deliver is keeping a low key while having taste. The brands available to me currently are: Ermenegildo Zegna, Dunhill, D'URBAN , E Armani, G armani, Hugo Boss, Pal Zileri, Canali, Gucci, Versace, Cerruti 1881,GF Ferre,Patrizia Pepe,Jean Pual Gaultier,Jil Sander,BCBGMAXAZRIA, Lagerfield, LV,kent&curwen, Burberry, GIEVES&HAWKES, . I really need your advice on which brand ,what kind of suit I should choose. My current thinking will be a navy suit with a plain red tie ,matching with a black oxford. I am also thinking of wearing a navy pinstripe suit ,but fear that it might seem too cocky and inappropriate for an intern guy.I realize that a three-piece will certainly be a bad idea. What do you thing is a wise choice for an internship? Thanks.

Brand is secondary, look and fit is primary. The wearer carries the suit, not the suit carries the wearer.

Go for solid grey suit, you cant go wrong with them. Worry about stripes, plaids, etc later.
Suit has to fit properly, you could wear the greatest creation ever, but if it does not go with your look or fits properly it will reduce that item to insignificance.

Regarding brand, if you have depth in your wallet, Zegna is a widely tried and trusted brand of suit.

make sure you have a rolex watch. Daytona in steel (black face preferred)

LV loafers with the prominent logo is also a must.

Good luck.

LOL at the motley list. A mix of conservative bespoke (Gieves & Hawkes) , conservative RTW (Zegna, Dunhill, Burberry), and "fashion forward" RTW (Jil Sander, Jean Paul Gaultier, Emporio Armani, Gucci)

Out of those, I'd go with Zegna, Dunhill, or Burberry. They're all at least half canvassed. Solid navy or charcoal, two buttons. Absolutely do not get a pinstriped suit for an internship. And don't pay full retail. Find an outlet store or go on eBay. (Know your size first, and get measurements)

Maybe you can wear a big B for Brioni on your piggy head.
