Hi all,

This is the launch of the long awaited Apolis x Styleforum x Context piece, a heavy military shirt with a shorter hem length, that is made to be worn either as a heavy shirt, or as a lighter jacket. This is the product of a lot of fittings, and a lot of overnighted shipping of samples...

Made of an Italian milled, 12 ounce, black coated canvas with blue weft, the material will wear to reveal the deep blue underneath. The piece features functional details like a one piece underarm reinforcement, snap closure flap pocket with the a reinforcement in the same material, neck latch, and the snap front closure with the same, heavy matte black snaps. Oh, and snap reinforcement at the side seams. I am probably going to get a couple for myself...

Anyway, Sam has pics all ready:

Enjoy,

Fok.

Looks like a sturdy shirt, kinda hard to see details though due to it being black.

It is extremely sturdy. The elbows and the forearms are fully reinforced with the same fabric, and the pocket is also backed with the same fabric. The underarm reinforcement is functional, reinforcing that vulnerable seam. Seams are felled.

Thanks to a ton of work by Fok and the brothers Apolis, we have an amazing winter top that is versatile, impeccably detailed and fits great.
Only 80 will be made, and will deliver to CONTEXT no later than December 15.
Available for pre-order now, just in time for Christmas.
This piece has already generated a lot of interest, so do not sleep my friends.

Are there any pics of a worn-in sample?

Wow, that's an amazing shirt. I don't think I could mentally drop that much on a shirt though

Think of it as a jacket then

It is about as heavy as many spring or lighter fall jackets.

Exactly right, Fok.
Its much more than just a shirt. Ryan has been wearing his as a mid layer and as an outerwear piece.

Cool shirt. Is there a functional inspiration for the metal rings at the collar?
