APC Rescue Jeans and Shoes?

Hello,

I have recent purchased a pair of APC Rescue jeans. I am having a hard time finding shoes that look good with them.

The jeans seem a little to tight on the bottoms to wear with my standard go to boots, which are these :

The sales associate suggested I wear a dress shoe with them, but I think I would look funny wearing a pair of my Allen-Edmonds with them.

Do you feel that my Frey Boots would go fine with them? Or what other types of shoes should I look for?

Any suggestions and help is very apprecaited.

I think it looks good when the hem hugs the boot shaft.

I wear anything and everything with my Rescues. Boots, oxfords, captoes, chucks, vans ... haven't tried sandals and don't plan to.

If I'm going casual I wear a pair of White Adidas Super Stars, and if I'm going a little bit more dressy, I have a pair of Black Gucci Loafers which I personally like the look of with the Rescues.

Chelsea boots are a good solution if you want a smaller shaft on the boot. Some chukkas too.
