i bought APC NS in size 29...and ive had them for about 2 weeks. The problem is that the leg opening is too small...its just not my style. I would feel more comfortable if it were slightly larger more like a slim straight leg opening..is there a way to do that? bring it to a tailor maybe?

PC stretches alot, did you try pulling the leg opening some? You might be able to stretch them out.

They are a tapered (barely) leg jean.... did you not expect this when you bought them? There is nothing a tailor can do. Sell them.

Edit: You could hem them shorter which would eliminate some taper (more or less depending on your height), but it's still not going to make it significantly larger by any means.

I have the same problem with ns. The nearest fit to them and my favourite jean by a country mile is levis lvc 1947 with an 8" leg opening in your size.

Quick question while we're on this topic. If I hem the APC NS from the original 34" length to 31", will the leg opening get bigger? How much?

Well, go up 3 inches from the hem line of the jeans and measure what the length across. That is what your new leg opening will be.

Yes, and probably not a lot, maybe 0.25-0.5" You can probably measure it if you wanted.
