At the risk of embarassing myself by starting yet another "how does this fit?" thread, I bought my first real pair of raw denim, APC New Standard.

Does it look OK? They're definitely way too long. I'm not sure if I will get them hemmed or cuff them.

I feel that any "skinny" jeans make me look way too top-heavy, but these seem to be OK.

Size 29 waist (normally a 30, vanity sizing probably real waist is 31).

I'm used to wearing baggy jeans that I have to hold up with a belt, so this would be a change for me.

They look baggy to me, I'd size down.

They feel tight. But I can see what you're saying from the pictures - there is a little extra room in the legs.

I like the fit of your jeans. But I'm biased, because I simply hate tight fitting jeans.
For me these jeans are a keeper.

At this point it's just the preference of how you want the jeans to look. For that type of fit they look great.

    Would you:

    1) Cuff them on the inside
    2) Cuff on the outside (given how much extra fabric there is and my short legs, this doesn't seem like a good option)
    3) Hem them, with some allowance for shrinkage

    ?

I would personally get them hemmed. That would be an absurdly thick cuff. Out of curiosity, how tall are you? I have on a size 30, and I didn't have to hem them at all, moreover not have 5 inches of extra fabric [IMG]

First, I don't think your really needed a thread for this.

Regarding fit, I'd say they're a little loose right now, especially for NS. They will stretch, so you need to think how you want the fit after stretching. But I think they could do with one size down.

    I'd get them hemmed some.

I'm about 5'6", but I have disproportionately short legs. I don't know what the inseam is. I'm thinking 34 inches? I normally get my pants hemmed to about 28". That explains why the cuff is so big.

With the jeans being that baggy I doubt they'll stretch much if any, the waist will stretch. After a hem theyll look better. But you could probably size down one more.
